The Quincy Retirement Board will hold an election, Tuesday May 3, 2011 at the Quincy City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 1305 Hancock Street, Quincy from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The election will be for a term commencing on May 4, 2011 and ending on December 16, 2013 for the second elected representative of the Quincy Retirement Board. Any member of the Quincy Retirement System, active or retired may seek this position. Members interested in being elected to this position may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Retirement Board a nomination paper containing the signatures and addresses of at least twenty (20) members of the Quincy Retirement System. Blank nomination papers are available to candidates at the Retirement Office. These papers should be returned to the Office no later than March 21, 2011 by 4:00PM. Retired members will be mailed a ballot with voting procedures enclosed. Active members will be able to vote only at the polling place, but may request an absentee ballot.
